Ergonomic keyboard cases usually have one big problem: they are either too bulky or too flimsy.
If you travel with your keyboard, commute to the office, or simply move between different setups, you need something compact enough to carry comfortably, but protective enough to actually matter.
In other words, you need a proper travel pouch for ergonomic keyboards.
So we decided to make one.
For years, many people in our community have been using regular tech pouches to carry their keyboards.
And, to be fair, some of them almost work.

But they are usually too small for the Dygma Raise 2, and the Dygma Defy barely fits inside.

That is not ideal if you want to carry your ergonomic keyboard safely without forcing it into a pouch that was never designed for it.
A good travel pouch for ergonomic keyboards needed to be slightly bigger and more squared-off, so it could fit the Raise 2, the Defy, and other ergonomic keyboards of similar size.

We did not want to make a bulky transport case.
The goal was to create something compact, lightweight, and protective.
It also did not need a dozen interior pockets. Most tech pouches include many small compartments, but that is not really what you need when carrying a keyboard.

Instead, we wanted one pocket on each side of the keyboard, with enough padding to protect the keycaps.
We could even flip one side upside down to maximize the internal space and make the keyboard fit more efficiently.

Finally, we wanted an external pocket for cables and other accessories, so you could carry the essentials without having to stuff everything into the main compartment.

First prototype: the right idea, but not quite there
Our first prototype already felt close to what we had in mind.

The size and weight were right, and the keyboard fit snugly inside.

But there were still a few problems.
First, the padding inside was too thick. It protected the keyboard, but it also felt too bulky and almost towel-like, which was not the premium feel we wanted.

The outside pocket also needed improvement. It was not very easy to access, so we decided to open it from the top instead.

And, most importantly, we had a materials problem.
Even after trying different fabrics, the pouch still looked like something you would get from Temu.
That was definitely not the goal.
Refining the materials and design
After reviewing many, many samples, we decided to move towards more technical fabrics, inspired by one of our smaller pouches.

And that is when the design started to come together.

The new padding had the perfect thickness. It still protected the keyboard, but it felt much more refined and premium.

The new exterior pocket was also much easier to access, and we added waterproof zippers to improve protection from accidental spills inside your backpack.

But then we had a different issue.
Maybe we had gone a little too far with the “technical fabrics”.
The pouch was starting to look too much like a toiletry bag, so we needed to scale it back a notch.

The exterior pocket was not perfect yet either. The fabric folded in a strange way, which affected the position of the logo.

To fix that, we extended the zipper's ridge around the entire pocket, helping the fabric retain its shape and improving the overall look.
The final Dygma travel pouch
After all those iterations, this is the result: the Dygma travel pouch for ergonomic keyboards.

It is compact and light, making it perfect for travelling, commuting, or carrying your keyboard between workspaces.
It fits the Dygma Defy, the OG Raise, and the Raise 2, as well as many other ergonomic keyboards of similar size.

That includes keyboards such as the Moonlander, the Voyager, the UHK60, the Mistel Barocco, and many more.

The pouch is made from a combination of technical fabrics, and the waterproof zippers help protect it from accidental spills in your backpack.

On the inside, it has padding to protect the keyboard and keycaps. On the outside, it has a dedicated pocket for your cables and other nick nacks.

If you are tired of carrying a bulky transport case, or if you are worried that your keyboard is not protected enough inside a flimsy sleeve or regular tech pouch, this is the travel pouch you need.

It gives you the right balance between portability and protection, without making your setup harder to carry.
