2025 at Dygma has been intense. But if there’s one thing we can already say, it’s that 2026 is shaping up to be even “intenser”.
The year started strongly with major firmware and software updates that significantly improved the connectivity of our ergonomic keyboards.
It finished even stronger with several product launches, including new Dye-Sub PBT keycaps for the Dygma Defy and a set of articulated arms designed to enhance ergonomic setups.
Let's recap everything that happened at Dygma in 2025 and share what you can expect in 2026.
After shipping all Dygma Raise 2 pre-orders by the end of 2024, our primary goal for 2025 was something as boring as it was necessary: consistency.
Consistency in firmware behavior. Consistency in connectivity. Consistency in how our keyboards performed day after day, whether used wired, via RF, or over Bluetooth.
This focus on reliability set the tone for everything we built throughout the year.
Major Firmware and Software Updates for Dygma Keyboards
The first significant milestone arrived early. After 23 beta releases and months of testing, we released the Defy v2.0 and Raise 2 v1.2 firmware in March.
This update introduced a complete rework of how the different chips inside our ergonomic keyboards communicate with each other, dramatically improving connectivity across all modes: wired, RF, and Bluetooth.
The result was a more responsive typing experience, reduced latency, and noticeably faster wake-from-sleep times.
Alongside the firmware update, we released a highly anticipated Bazecor update that added more configuration options for tap-hold keys. This allowed much finer tuning when using home row modifiers, something many users had been requesting.
A New Support Page and Improved Customer Support
In April, we launched a completely revamped Dygma support page.
The new support experience features enhanced online manuals, a comprehensive help center, and a custom ChatGPT bot designed to resolve issues and answer questions more efficiently.
Behind the scenes, we also refined our internal support processes to respond more quickly and accurately to emails and requests.

More Firmware Improvements and Better Bluetooth Behavior
By June, another firmware update was ready.
This release fixed a long-standing issue where the keyboard could accidentally switch to Bluetooth mode while connected via cable.
With the Defy v2.1 and Raise 2 v1.3 firmware, we introduced a new state machine that prevented this behavior without removing functionality.
With Wireless keyboards, you can use Bluetooth even while the keyboard is wired.
This firmware also delivered additional communication improvements and even faster wake-from-sleep times.
Exploring New Keyboard Form Factors
During the summer, we took a short break from production work to experiment with different keyboard form factors.
We explored transforming the Dygma Defy into a low-profile keyboard with a keywell and even modified a Dygma Raise 2 to make it more travel-friendly.
These experiments were valuable learning experiences, but the final quarter of 2025 required our full focus.
Launch of Dye-Sub PBT Keycaps for the Dygma Defy
The first major product launch was the new Dye-Sub PBT keycaps for the Dygma Defy.
These keycaps had been highly requested, as many users prefer the texture and sound of PBT over laser-etched polycarbonate keycaps.
Feedback highlights their premium feel, crisp legends, and deeper sound profile.
Their main limitation is that dye-sub keycaps don’t support shine-through legends, which is why double-shot PBT keycaps remain a long-term goal.
Return of the Limited Edition Dygma Defy Colors
Next came the relaunch of the Limited Edition colors for the Dygma Defy.
The response exceeded expectations, with most color combinations selling out quickly and only a few remaining.

Dygma Select: Curated Desk Accessories
The biggest surprise of 2025 was Dygma Select: a curated collection of desk accessories we personally use and stand behind.
This includes laptop stands, USB hubs, headset hangers, and the articulated arms and adaptor puck set designed to unlock advanced ergonomic setups.
Demand has been far higher than anticipated, and we’re already exploring additional accessories, such as alternative desk clamps.
New Mechanical Keyboard Switches
In December, we added three fan-favorite Gateron switches to the Dygma store: Oil Kings, Baby Kangaroo 2.0, and Zero Degree Silent.
We tested more than a dozen switches before selecting these, and we’re open to expanding the lineup based on community feedback.
Reworked Superkeys and Firmware Improvements
November also brought a significant firmware update featuring completely reworked Superkeys, improved battery readings, and enhanced low-battery behavior.
Superkeys were rewritten from scratch to behave naturally and reliably, and we’re extremely proud of the result.
What’s Coming in 2026
Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be even more ambitious.
There has been significant progress on the mystery pointing device, although further work is needed before any announcement can be made.

We also explored expansion modules for the Dygma Raise 2, including trackball and trackpad concepts; however, ergonomic improvements are still required.
To cheer you up, there's another mystery input device in the works. Something complementary to owning one of our keyboards; don't go thinking about a Defy 2.0.

What we can confirm is that additional accessories are forthcoming, including desk clamps, travel pouches, blank PBT keycaps, and potentially more switch options.
Firmware and Bazecor updates will continue, with ongoing work focused on communication optimizations and refining the behavior of Superkeys.
Thank you so much for trusting us, for pushing us to do better, and for being part of this community.
We wish you a Happy New Year full of typing and gaming in comfort 💙
