When you buy a Dygma keyboard, you get much more than a high-end ergonomic keyboard.You'll also receive many extras to help you customize and maintain your new board and a premium unboxing experience.
But enough talking: let's open this bad boy and see everything that comes with the Dygma Raise 2 😎
The BOX
Before opening the box, we always like to point at the pattern of cute little Dygma logos. We could have saved ourselves some headaches and gone for a standard brown box, but for us, the unboxing experience starts when you pick up the box from your doorstep. Let's open the box carefully; thanks God that Dominique is always carrying her DygMachete with her 😉
Once you open the box, you'll see two smaller packages inside, wrapped in our custom black bubble envelopes with the Dygma logo.
Exploring the Enhancement Kit
Let's start with the smaller one, which contains the Enhancement Kit.
This kit includes:
- An assortment of switches so you can try out our different options. They're also practical if one of your switches decides to go rogue in the future.
- A keycap and switch puller, which you'll need if you want to customize your Raise 2 with different switches or keycaps.
- A little brush, which we like to call "crap remover".
- A cleaning cloth, with our logo on it, of course.
- And a set of thin o-rings, which you can place on the stem of your keycaps to reduce the travel distance and dampen the sound of your keypresses.
Inside the top of the lid, you'll see some of the switches' basic tech specs and other helpful information. Now, let's put this aside and move to the main dish: the keyboard.
Discover your Dygma Raise 2
Every Dygma keyboard comes protected in a travel case, and the Dygma Raise 2 could be no different.
If you ordered a silver Dygma Raise 2, you'll get the grey travel case and, if you ordered it black, you'll get the black one.
The grey has a woven textile finish, and the black has a more rugged honeycomb-like texture. Both look stunning, with the engraved Dygma logo on top and even on the zipper handles.
Inside, you'll find your Dygma Raise 2, with the neuron proudly displayed in the middle.
If you're worried that you ordered a split keyboard and this one doesn't look split, let me show you the party piece of the Raise 2!
This might look like a gimmick, but it's great for many situations. For example, you can use the keyboard on your lap or in a small space, or in case someone else needs to use your keyboard and doesn't know how to type split, or if you yourself are just starting your ergonomic journey and you want to take it slowly at first.
If you want to use the keyboard right away, plug the neuron in the slot under the left half, turn the sides on, pair it to your computer, and you're good to go.
You can then edit your layer via Bluetooth with Bazecor, our configurator software. If you want to learn more about your Dygma Raise 2's different connectivity and configuration options, visit Dygma.com/myraise2 or scan the QR code in the manual under your keyboard.
However, if you bought the wired version or just want to use it wired, you'll need cables, which are neatly stored under this magnetic lid.
There is a 150 cm or 5ft USB C to C cable to connect the neuron to the computer and two 30 cm or 1ft C to C cables to connect the neuron to each half of the keyboard.
We also include an extra 50cm or 1.6ft cable, which is very useful if you want to space your halves wider apart. Finally, due to popular demand, there is also an A to C adaptor. Of course, all the cables are braided with aluminum tips, and they will match the color of your keyboard.
