Hey everybody! Here we come with a new Ergobits, previously known as the DygmaNews.
We'll talk about updates on the Raise 2 mass production, the latest Bazecor 1.4.4, our ambassador program, company discounts, and much more!
Raise 2: mass production keeps going
First up, everyone's favorite topic: the Raise 2 mass production. We've already started mass production. All the components will be manufactured in the following weeks, and the assembly of the first 50 keyboards will start in September.
Why only 50?
Because surprise surprise we're only sending 50 keyboards to 50 special Dygmates.
Just kidding😋 Because this is going to be a test run to make sure everything goes smoothly. Afterwards, we'll scale it up to 500 keyboards, and they should be ready during the first week of October. The rest of the keyboards will follow in the subsequent weeks.
So since our last update, there haven't been that many updates. But here's just a quick recap of the most significant improvements:
The Top Panel has been improved and now the edges have a more consistent finish.
We've received the new samples of the base, specifically for the silver Raise.
We mentioned in our last update that the color of the base and its components will now be gray instead of white. And that's because we realized that in time, white was prone to accumulate grime. So gray will prevent that.
That goes for the side legs, reverse tilting legs, and tenting legs, which all have a better fit compared to the previous versions, and of course the silicone pads.
The palm pads have also been massively improved, especially the magnets. Now they're stronger than every. Like they will never come off.
But in doing so, we discovered marks on the base of the palm pads. The magnetic force was just so strong. Too strong actually. So we modified the base by covering the holes where the magnets used to be.
Bazecor 1.4.4
Next up we have the latest Bazecor 1.4.4, which we just released last week! This release includes improvements on how the modifiers are represented when creating shortcuts.
We also have great news for Chrome OS users: you can now use Bazecor to configure your keyboard!
If you have Bazecor 1.4.3 on Windows and Mac, it should auto-update –unless you have that disabled in preferences. On Linux, you have to download it manually. To download the latest Bazecor version, head over to dygma.com/bazecor.
