Hi, Dygmates, and welcome to a new edition of Ergobits!
We've got some cool updates to share with you:
- The mass production of the Raise 2 is on track, and the pilot run will be shipped by the end of September.
- Bazecor 1.5.0 has been released, and it features a more user-friendly layout editor.
- We also have some great new updates on the Defy 2.0 Firmware.
Raise 2 Mass Production is On Track!
We are super pumped to let you know that the production of the Raise 2 is going great! We've nailed down all the little details, like the side leg stickers and shades for the Silver Raise 2 base.
Arturo, one of our mechanical engineers, is on top of things, overseeing a pilot run of 50 keyboards in China to make sure they meet Dygma’s quality standards.
Once this pilot run is done, we'll be putting together about 500 keyboards per week. Our target is to ship the first batch of 1000 units by the end of October and pre-orders will be filled by November.
So if you're keen on getting your hands on a Raise 2, now is the time to make a move and snag a 10% pre-sale discount!
Introducing Bazecor 1.5.0
We’re proud to announce the release of Bazecor 1.5.0, with a totally revamped layout editor for easier use.
The new layout editor combines the old standard and single views, giving you a bigger keyboard display and simpler navigation through menus.
Setting up dual-function keys is easier now! Instead of choosing a "dual function," you can now "add a key on tap" to any modifier or layer shift, making the setup process much more intuitive.

Defy Firmware 2.0 testing – Here’s What’s New
Our team has been grinding on the Defy 2.0 firmware and Raise 2’s 1.0 firmware. After months of hustling and testing internally, we’re stoked to kick off private beta testing soon!
The biggest change? We've completely upgraded how the keyboard’s chips communicate, which should fix the connectivity issues some of you have been dealing with.
Plus, we’ve thrown in new options for dual-function keys. The best one is the “Minimum hold timeout” feature, made to stop accidental holds when rolling across keys—a real game-changer for home-row modifier users.
Once our beta testers give the thumbs up, expect a public beta rollout next month.
Setups We Envy
We’re always inspired by the incredible setups you share with us. This month, we’re highlighting Anørak’s setup, where the Defy is commanding two MacBooks and an iPad—a true multitasker’s dream.
Inspiring Layer of the Month
For this month’s “Inspiring Layer,” we have Miquel’s Lightroom layer. If you’re into photography, you’ll love how Miquel has transformed his keyboard into a fully functional macro pad for Lightroom.
We’ve made a video guide on how to set this up—check it out!
And that’s all for! Don’t forget to enjoy the last few days of summer and make sure to get your Raise 2 before the pre-sale discount ends.
