Hi everybody! Welcome to Ergobits, a new series where we will share exciting information for ergo enthusiasts 😉
Of course, you'll still find here what's happened at Dygma during the last weeks, but you'll also get inspiration for layers, setups and even app recommendations! Let's get started!
A lot has happened this past month: the Dygma Raise 2 has started mass production, Bazecor keeps receiving exciting updates, we have the winner of the first-ever layer tournament, and there's a new ambassador program to give something back to all of you that recommend the Dygma keyboards.
Raise 2 mass production is on!
Let's start from the top: mass production of the Raise 2 has begun! All the components will be manufactured in the following weeks, and assembly will begin in September.
We'll be configuring and optimizing the assembly line during the first two weeks of September, so only 50 keyboards will be assembled. This is kind of a test run to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Once the necessary adjustments are done, we'll scale it up. The first 500 keyboards should be ready during the first week of October, and the rest will follow in the subsequent weeks.
Right on schedule! We have tweaked many aspects of the Design Validation Test units thanks to the beta testing team's feedback and our internal testing.
Here is a quick recap of the most significant improvements:
We've changed the cables, and now they are thinner and more flexible with the same shielding and specifications.
We've adjusted the tooling of the top panel so the edges have a more consistent finish.
We've redesigned the hinges of the tenting legs so they are stiffer and feel more premium when changing your tenting angle.
We've also added over 30 LEDs to the underglow, from 75 to 107, so the light is evenly distributed. We've even tweaked them individually via firmware, so the brightness is consistent even in the most complex corners.
For the silver Raise, we've changed the color of all the base components from white to gray. We found that white was prone to accumulating dirt and grime over time. Gray will prevent that, and at the same time, we think it looks "gray-t."😋
We've also added more support to the Keyscanner PCBs, especially in the low-profile switches area. Sometimes, the PCBs would bend slightly while installing the switches, preventing them from attaching correctly.
Another important improvement regarding the electronics is the new Battery Management Chip. It will allow for finer battery readings –even while charging– and it also reports on the battery's health status. Kind of like your phone does.
We've also added a special plastic wrapper to protect the battery from unintentional damage while being handled.
Finally, we've tweaked the way the neuron slots into the base. Previously, it was a bit difficult to remove the neuron, and that didn't feel very premium 😅
If you want to understand better what we consider premium, I recommend that you watch the latest Ergolab. Our CEO, Luis, and our Head of Marketing, Miquel, discuss just that while comparing multiple Ergo keyboards.
Latest Bazecor Updates
For us, part of that premium feel also comes down to the experience of configuring your keyboard. That's why Bazecor keeps receiving constant love. This month, we released Bazecor 1.4, which introduces many quality-of-life improvements.
- It allows you to configure your keyboard via BT
- It has a new keyboard manager to edit multiple keyboards easily
- And it has a new, more intuitive preferences menu
Check out this other video to learn everything new on Bazecor 1.4
Since then, we've released several versions with visual bug-fixing and other small features. Check out dygma.com/roadmap for the latest release and what we're working on.
You'll also see our plans for the firmware. To improve the keyboard's connectivity, we're overhauling the firmware completely. We expect to have a new version to test in the upcoming weeks, both for the Defy and the Raise 2.
New Ambassador Program: Join now!
Another thing we've been working on for the past weeks is the new Ambassador Program!
Our community is at the core of what we do at Dygma. It's much more than listening to your feedback or about honesty and transparency. You're the reason we exist.
That's why we want to give something back to those who recommend our keyboards; because who better than you, our users, to do so?
Everybody is welcome, whether you're a huge creator or just recommending it to your friends. To learn more about it and sign up, go to dygma.com/ambassadors.
Recommend us to... your boss 🤣
Yes, that's right. We are currently looking for companies to partner with. Our keyboards could be the solution if your company is looking for ways to boost employee productivity and enhance well-being.

Discover the Layer of the Month
Regarding productivity, we all know that layers play a massive role in helping you smooth your workflow, from something simple like a layer to access your most used symbols to a layer specifically designed for an app you use often.
However, sometimes, we need a bit of inspiration. That's partly why we held the first layer tournament, invited you to send your best layers, and created a new layer of the month section.
This month's layer is, of course, the tournament winner, Ferbas, with his Symmetrical Symbols layer.
Second place went to Lee RV, who accessed their symbols through multiple superkeys instead.
Other honourable mentions are Nick's set of layers for typing with just one hand and Sniqs' layer for using Visual Studio.
If you want to check all the layers, go to dygma.com/layers. Remember that you can load them and add them to your keyboard to try them out.
And if you want to learn more about how layers can improve your productivity, check out this other video.
In addition to the prizes for the finalists—a Dygma keyboard for the winner and a 100 USD voucher for second place—we also gave away five 50 USD vouchers amongst all the participants.
These lucky chosen are...🍀
- Daniel Nilsson
- Hugo
- Rachen
- Nikkor
- Rodri4science
You should have an email with your voucher in your email 😊
Set up of the Month
Another thing we want to share with you every month is our featured setup.
This month, it can go to no other than Massimiliano, who shared an image while testing Bazecor with three Dygma keyboards: an OG Dygma Raise, a Dygma Defy and a Raise 2 beta testing unit.
If you want your setup featured, you can share it on our Discord or Reddit; the links are at the end of the article.
To wrap it up, we want to share with you a few things we believe you might find interesting:
First, Naackers' first impressions of the Dygma Defy, which has had over half a million views on TikTok –Yes, we are hip, we have TikTok 😂
@naaackers A quick show and tell of the Dygma Defy keyboard that Dygma sent me to test, review, and make some content on :) This is wireless split ortho linear ergonomic mechanical keyboard. It is absolutely jam packed with features. I’ve been testing for about 6 weeks now and I love it, but will have my full thoughts in my long form review that will be getting posted on my Naaackers YouTube channel! #dygma #dygmadefy #mechanicalkeyboard #ergonomic #ergonomickeyboard #tech #setup ♬ Chill Vibes - Febri Handika
Second, a recommendation to try the Arc browser. It takes an interesting approach to handling tabs and bookmarks and has a ton of helpful keyboard shortcuts, which, of course, we love.
Finally, a video of someone who decided to swap his laptop's keyboard for a mechanical keyboard. We love crazy stuff like that. Be advised the editing is a bit crazy, too 😅
And that's it from us today!
Let us know if you like this new series in the video's comments, and I'll see you next month! (Or maybe not if you didn't like it 😂😭)
And, as always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask us on Reddit or Discord. See ya!! 💜
