The past few weeks at Dygma have been frantic. We launched our new Dye-Sub PBT keycaps for the Defy, revealed Dygma Select, our curated collection of reliable desk gear, and brought back the Limited Edition Colors. And on top of that, it's Black Friday Month, meaning there are massive deals across everything at Dygma.com.
But today, none of those is the biggest news. Because today, we’re releasing something we’ve been refining for years: a new firmware update featuring the fully reworked Superkeys.
Black Friday Deals
Before diving into the firmware update, here's a quick overview of everything happening during Black Friday Month:
10% off both ergonomic keyboards: the Dygma Defy and the Dygma Raise 2.
$70 off the Dygma Defy Limited Edition Colors, and only a few are left in stock.
20% off all accessories, including the new Dye-Sub PBT keycaps, palm pads, switches, cables, and more.
20% off Dygma Select, our lineup of curated desk gear.
This is the only time of the year our keyboards go on sale. These discounts end Monday, December 1st, so if you’ve had your eye on a Dygma keyboard, now is the moment.
If you already have the keyboards you need, this is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your setup: new palm pads, switches, or the articulated arm set for next-level ergonomics.
New Firmware Update: Reworked Superkeys
For months, we’ve been working on a major firmware overhaul that improves everything from battery performance to stability. But the big highlight is clear: Superkeys have been completely reworked from the ground up.
Superkeys let you assign up to five functions to a single key: tap, hold, tap&hold, double-tap, and double-tap&hold. That unlocks incredible flexibility, but since the first beta four years ago, they never felt fully predictable. A bit slow and inconsistent.

Now, they simply work. No delays, no quirks, no unexpected behavior. Everything feels natural, almost like the keyboard knows exactly what you intended.
Getting here required fixing more than two dozen different Superkey-related bugs.
A huge thank you to our developers and to every user who tested the beta releases. Your feedback made this update possible.
You’ll find the new firmware update in the Firmware menu in Bazecor, but make sure to update Bazecor first.
Bazecor 1.8
Bazecor 1.8 includes essential improvements:
We've added a prompt after the firmware update to restore your layers: your configuration will never be lost after a firmware update.

Now you configure all your multi-function keys in the Superkeys menu and then add them to your layout.

If you have "Add a key on Tap" in your layout, don't worry; you don't need to take any action. Bazecor will still recognize them. It's just for new ones.
You’ll also find a Superkey Memory Usage indicator (up to 70 Superkeys).
And you'll also notice the new naming in Preferences > Typing and Keys

Finally, we've merged the Advanced Layers and Advanced Modifiers submenus in the layout editor for simplicity.

Bazecor will prompt you to update automatically, but you can also download it manually at dygma.com/bazecor. Make sure you install Bazecor 1.8 before updating your firmware to fully enjoy the new Superkeys.

And that’s everything! We’re preparing a series of videos to help you make the most out of the new Superkeys, but for now, give them a try and tell us what you think.
We couldn’t be happier with this update, and if you made it to the end, thank you 🥰
If you want to treat yourself, remember our keyboards are still 10% off until December 1st.
