Today's video spans continents: the latest manufacturing components and updates from China, presented by Dominique in the Philippines, spiced up with Raise 2 news in Spain, and sprinkled with love as it jets off to every corner of the planet.
Raise 2 campaign
Let's start with the biggest news!
Last week, we launched the Dygma Raise 2 campaign, and we couldn't be more thankful for your support.
Thanks to your hundreds of pre-orders, we've raised almost half a million dollars in just over a week.
That means we reached our first campaign goal: each keyboard will come with a premium travel case.
And we're on track to reach the second goal, which will unlock the Atlantis Blue limited edition color.
If you've already pre-ordered your Raise 2, don't worry; you'll be able to upgrade your order as soon as we reach this goal.
What are you waiting for? You'll never get a deal like this again. You can get a Raise 2 for just $299! That's 2018 prices 😅
To celebrate the beginning of the campaign, we threw a live Launch Party with a Q&A session. In case you missed it, you can rewatch it here:
Raise 2 manufacturing
We just received a shipment with a truckload of manufacturing samples. That includes multiple PCBs, ISO and ANSI top panels, tenting legs, palm pads, joints, pogo pins, and keycaps.
With these samples, we've assembled the first test units of the Dygma Raise 2.
They may still look like Frankenstein, but this allows us to ensure that everything fits together nicely. And so we can make the necessary adjustments to prepare the units for our beta testers.
For example, one of the things we need to test is the stability of the tenting at all angles. The built-in tenting of the Raise 2 has been quite a feat, and we want to ensure it's nothing short of perfect.
So far, everything looks pretty good, with only minor adjustments to be made.
But that's not all. We've also made tremendous progress in another manufacturing milestone: preparing the testers for the PCBs.
These testers will be shipped to our factory and used to test each and every PCB that comes out of the assembly line. We've had to design one specifically for each PCB: the neuron, the keyscanners, the RF PCBs, and the underglow PCBs.
Defy back in stock
We have more awesome news for our Defy fans.
All pre-orders should be shipped during this and next week, and if you order a Dygma Defy now, it should also ship in under a week.
Remember that you can create your custom Defy or even choose among some special units we don't mass produce anymore, like the limited edition colors.
And that's it for today; we hope you enjoyed this special Dygma news.
