First time using the Defy
They Dygma Defy comes with a preinstalled layout so you can start using it right out of the box. But since it's a columnar layout with so many thumbkeys, you might need to learn what each one does.
Hey! My layers don't look like this!
If your layers do not look like the above, download the default backup and loading it from preferences > restore backup
But where are my arrows? And the number pad??
Every Defy comes with preinstalled layers that include all the other keys present on larger keyboards: the arrows, the F keys, the number pad, and the media keys... you name it.
This is layer 2
I still need my Function and media keys!
Don't worry those are on layer 3.

But how do I access those layers? Do I need an interdimensional portal?
Not really; you just need to hold a key.
By default, you can access layer 2 and 3 by holding the corresponding thumbkey.
Of course, you can customize what's in those layer and how to access them, create up to 10 custom layers, and much more...
